Seriously, I don’t get this - the amount of hatred and vitriol that you constantly see from the mainstream media directed towards the pro-gun lobby is often downright frightening. Here is yet another example of left-wing columnist’s violent revenge fantasy:

That was his response to receiving an email where he was called an “anti-gun bigot”. Just so we’re clear - he gets called a bigot, and then says he’ll laugh over the dead bodies of gun owners shot by the ATF. “They called me a name, they can’t do that! I’m the mainstream media! I hope the ATF kills them all!”

I highly doubt the AFT is going to be coming after gun owners soon……they only have about 3000 agents to round up about 238 million guns…..but that doesn’t matter because you are probably not going to be there. IF and it is a big IF……..the government is going to be rounding up anybody, anytime soon it will most likely be you, the willfully disarmed.
So, since you proably aren’t going to be around to see the ATF perform any large-scale confiscations man up and do it yourself. Just start knocking on doors (since 50% of American households have firearms) and announce that you are “Here for the guns”…..let me know how that goes for you.

I understand that there are many gun owners who feel very strongly about their right to have them. If you look towards the inner city, however, their is an obvious other side to the story.

Nor is it sufficient justification for infringement of rights. We don’t throw out the 4th and 5th amendments in inner cities because of the crime rates and need for “public safety” even though we could incarcerate more criminals that way.
