checking in

From the California Coast - internet still somewhat spotty.

However, I have found two awesome things that I plan on checking out: first off I found the gun shop in Morro Bay that I remembered from my youth, and I’m kicking myself for not remembering to bring a copy of my C&R License…just in case I find a .380 ‘34 Beretta.

Plus, I also found where the Houge Action Pistol Range is, and while it seems to be closed it can’t hurt to give them a call and see what I can see.

When I get back, I’ll have fun travel pics, some gun stuff, and of course Squeaks and I will be starting our joint blagocast venture.

If you get tight with a particular local gun shop, you can often get them to let you have a couple of wet-ink FFL’s for when you’re on the road.

A good customer of mine years ago back in GA was a big-time Colt collector, and when he travelled on business he’d spend his time in gun stores and pawn shops rather than bars or strip clubs. You could always tell when he’d be about to get back to town, because we’d have one or two “To: Joe Blow, c/o ABC Gun Shop” packages waiting for him.

Up in Salinas a gun shop that I went to had almost no ammo in the store except defensive ammo - the lead ammo ban had caused them to remove everything including .22LR…
    I worry for this state.
